“This event is an important part of the Towson University Golf program,” said Tiger men’s head coach Brian Yaniger. “The funds raised from this event allow us to provide many enhancements that are outside of our budgetary constraints. Specifically, these funds are used for scholarships, travel and additional equipment. To spend time with alums, donors and friends makes this one of the most enjoyable days of the year. We appreciate all of the past support and look forward to growing this event!”
After a continental breakfast, the 18-hole event will tee off at 9 a.m. The format will be two best balls with net and gross divisions. The individual best score (gross) will determine the 2012 Tiger Golf Alumni Champion. After an exciting day of golf, a buffet lunch will be served.
The $175 entry fee includes continental breakfast, a registration gift, a buffet luncheon, the 18-hole tournament, golf carts, use of the practice range and beverages on the golf course. In addition, there will be a silent auction featuring a number of exciting gifts.
David Hutsell, '93, who has played in the PGA Tournament the last three years, is the two-time defending champion of the Tigers Golf Alumni and Friends Outing.
Hole sponsorships are also available for $150 each by contacting Yaniger at (410) 704-3578.
All proceeds from the outing benefit the Towson University men's and women's golf programs.
