TOWSON, Md. - Towson women’s golf head coach Kate Stepanek has unveiled the 2012 fall schedule for the Tigers, which includes a total of five tournaments.
“We are excited for our fall schedule which includes a
number of tournaments that will feature some of the top teams in our region,”
said Stepanek. “We have several opportunities to earn a top finish and gain
momentum going into the spring. We are creating a positive and successful
foundation for the future of women's golf at Towson.”
The Tigers open their fall slate at home on September 9 as they welcome a
talented field to the Towson Golf & Country Club for the Tignanelli Towson
Invitational.
The youthful squad, which features six newcomers this season, will travel to
East Meadow, N.Y. for its first road trip. The Tigers will compete in the St.
John’s Women’s Invitational at the Eisenhower Park White Course.
After an off-week, Towson will head to Charleston, S.C. on September 30 to
compete in the South Carolina State Fall Invitational.
The Tigers will then head to the First State on October 13
to battle in the Delaware State Hornet Invitational at the Maple Dale Country
Club in Dover, Del.
The final tournament of the fall will take place on October 22 as the Tigers compete
in the Fighting Camel Classic, hosted by Campbell University, in Buies, N.C.
