TOWSON, Md. - Chad Wiedmaier, an All-American defenseman and graduate of Princeton University, will serve as a volunteer assistant, Head Coach Shawn Nadelen announced today.

“The Towson Lacrosse Family is excited to welcome Chad Wiedmaier to our coaching staff,” enthused Nadelen. “Chad brings an excellent pedigree of great lacrosse along with strong character to our Towson program.  He has achieved great success in his young career as a lacrosse player, and he possesses a desire to accomplish similar success as a coach.  Our young men at Towson will benefit from Chad being involved in our program on a daily basis and I look forward to working with him as well.  Chad is fully on board with our philosophy at Towson and wants to contribute to keeping Towson Lacrosse as an elite Division I program.”

Wiedmaier graduated from Princeton in 2012 and currently plays for Major League Lacrosse’s Hamilton Nationals. He was a four-year All-American on defense for the Tigers, receiving first team All-Ivy honors all four years. He earned a bachelor's degree in sociology and a certificate in environmental studies.
