TOWSON, Md. - Former Tiger All-American Casey Cittadino was traded to the Charlotte Hounds of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) this week. Cittadino, who scored a goal in the 2012 MLL Championship with the Denver Outlaws last month, spent seven seasons in Denver.
Cittadino tallied two goals, four assists and added 12 groundballs for the Outlaws last season. The Hounds, a 2012 expansion team, finished their inaugural season at 5-9 and sixth place in the league.
At Towson, he earned All-American honors in 2005 and was a three-time All-Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) postseason honoree and CAA Tournament MVP in 2004. Cittadino, who played midfield at Towson, finished his career third all-time at Towson in caused turnovers (65). He totaled four goals, eight assists, 16 points and 57 groundballs in his defensive role.
