BALTIMORE, Md. - The Tiger women lacrosse team took time out of their fall schedule to participate in the 10th Annual Diane Geppi-Aikens Run on Saturday morning.
The 5K run and 1 mile walk was held on Loyola's campus in honor of the former Greyhound women's lacrosse coach, who passed away after battling brain cancer.
The money raised from Saturday's event will go to funding an endowed scholarship for a female student-athlete at Loyola in Geppi-Aikens' name.
The event drew over 875 participants, including the women's lacrosse teams from Loyola, Maryland, UMBC, Johns Hopkins and the Tigers.
