TOWSON, Md. – Deposits are now being accepted for 2013 Tiger men’s and women’s lacrosse season tickets.  Both programs are coming off successful 2012 campaigns and are poised to compete at a championship level in 2013.

Tigers fans are encouraged to act quickly and make their season ticket deposits for next season.

The men’s program is coming off a strong season, resulting in a Colonial Athletic Association tournament appearance.  The Tiger men’s team won seven games en route to qualifying for the CAA Tournament. The Tigers lost just three games all year to teams not ranked in the Top 20 nationally and they won five straight games from March 17 to April 4, a stretch that included wins over Delaware, Hofstra and UMBC. Sophomores Thomas DeNapoli and John Fennessy garnered second team All-CAA honors while freshmen Justin Mabus and Jojo Ostrander were named to the CAA All-Rookie team. Second-year head coach Shawn Nadelen will welcome back an array of young talent in 2013 to go along with a strong recruiting class.

The women’s team, under the guidance of CAA Coach of the Year Sonia LaMonica, concluded one of the best seasons in program history in 2012. The Tigers went 16-4, captured their fifth CAA title and hosted an NCAA Tournament game for the first time in program history. Junior defender Alexa Demski and senior goalkeeper Mary Teeters earned Third Team All-America honors from the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association. Demski and Teeters led a Tiger defense that finished the season ranked 8th in the nation for scoring defense. Towson will return four of its top five leading scorers for the 2013 season as well. Sophomore attacker Andi Raymond led the Tigers with 35 goals and 33 assists while junior midfielder Kelly Custer had 35 goals and nine assists. Both Raymond and Custer earned first team All-CAA honors and second team all-region honors from the IWLCA.
