CHENEY, Wash. - Here are the post-game notes from the Tigers' NCAA FCS semi-final win over Eastern Washington on Saturday afternoon.

FAST START: The Tigers had their best first quarter of the season as they built a 14-0 lead ... In the first quarter, the Tigers had the ball for 10:14 and outgained the Eagles by 169 yards to 110 yards ... The Tigers took a lead when Emmanuel Holder caught a one-yard pass from Peter Athens  and Terrance West scored on a one-yard run.

RECORD-SETTING WEST: Playing in his first game out west, Terrance West broke two NCAA FCS single season records in the win over Eastern Washington ... He ran for 115 yards on 27 carries and scored two touchdowns ... In the first quarter, he broke the single season rushing record set by Jamaal Branch of Colgate in 2003 ... West enters the NCAA FCS championship game with 2,410 yards on 391 carries ... With two touchdowns against the Eagles, West has 41 touchdowns this season, breaking the record of Omar Cuff, who had 39 touchdowns in 2007.

TERRIFIC RELIEF EFFORT: Sophomore quarterback Connor Frazier has helped the Tigers in a number of ways this season ... He has punted, played wide receiver and served as the holder on all placements ... In Saturday's semi-final win over Eastern Washington, he came up with the biggest performance of his career ... Playing the entire second half, he completed six of 10 passes for 98 yards ... Frazier also ran for a career high 98 yards on 18 carries with a touchdown ... Frazier, who found out that he would play the second half, was told by Coach Rob Ambrose to "Have some fun out there."

CAREER DAY FOR DOWLING: In the Tigers' win over Eastern Washington, junior wide receiver Brian Dowling had the biggest game of his career ... He caught four passes for 88 yards and a touchdown ... Dowling caught a 38-yard touchdown pass from Peter Athens in the second quarter to give the Tigers a 21-0 lead ... On the Tigers' game-winning drive, he caught a key 22-yard pass from Connor Frazier.

UNWELCOME GUESTS: The Tigers' dramatic win over Eastern Washington was their 12th consecutive road victory, a streak that dates back to Oct. 6, 2012 ... Towson has won all nine road games this season, earning wins at Connecticut, Holy Cross, North Carolina Central, Stony Brook, Albany, Richmond, William & Mary, Eastern Illinois and Eastern Washington.

WINS OVER RANKED TEAMS: With their 35-31 win at Eastern Washington, the Tigers have beaten the No. 2 team and the No. 3 team in back-to-back weeks ... No. 2 Eastern Illinois was the highest-ranked team the Tigers have ever beaten.

CHASING DOWN WESTBROOK: With 41 touchdowns this season, Terrance West is closing in on the NCAA FCS career touchdown record held by Brian Westbrook of Villanova ... West has scored 83 touchdowns in 36 career games ... Westbrook scored 89 career touchdowns ... Adrian Peterson of Georgia Southern ranks second with 87 touchdowns.

THE DRIVE: Connor Frazier etched his name in the Towson history books with his masterful 71-yard, 10-play drive that earned the Tigers their 35-31 win over Eastern Washington ... On the drive, Frazier completed all five passing attempts for 48 yards to three different receivers ... He also ran for 23 yards on four carries and scored the game-winning touchdown on a one-yard quarterback sneak.

COMEBACK WIN: When the Tigers rallied from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to win, it marked their biggest fourth quarter comeback since a 39-35 win at Old Dominion in 2011 ... In that game, the Tigers trailed by 35-24 with five minutes left before pulling out the win ... The Eastern Washington win marked the third time this season that the Tigers overcame a double-digit deficit to win ... Towson rallied from a 14-0 deficit at Stony Brook to win ... The Tigers also overcame a 20-3 deficit to beat New Hampshire.

ATHENS INJURED: Quarterback Peter Athens was having a terrific game when he was forced to leave the contest with a shoulder injury ... Athens completed eight of nine passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns in the win over Eastern Washington ... In three NCAA FCS Tournament games, Athens completed 29 of 37 passes for a .784 percentage ... He passed for 560 yards and five touchdowns and had an outstanding 250.11 passer efficiency rating ... His status for the NCAA FCS championship game has not been determined.

CAA IN THE NCAA FCS FINALS: Towson is the 11th Colonial Athletic Association team to reach the NCAA FCS championship game ... The Tigers are also the sixth different CAA school to reach the finals ... Massachusetts played for the title in 1978 and 1998, winning the NCAA FCS title in 1998 ... Delaware has made four appearances in the NCAA FCS championship game, winning the championship in 2003 ... James Madison, Richmond and Villanova each won the national championship in their only appearances in the finals ... CAA teams are 5-5 in the NCAA FCS championship game.
