TOWSON, Md. - As the 2011 Tiger women's soccer season comes to a close, TowsonTigers.com came up with a "Top 10" list of the team's highlights from the past year.


1 – The Tigers earned their first win over Hofstra since the 1997 season when they edged the Pride, 3-2, on Oct. 9 … Senior midfielder Courtney McKee posted the first multi-goal game of her career by scoring twice in the victory ... The win snapped a 14-game winless streak for the Tigers against Hofstra.

2 – The Tigers had two players named as the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week … On Sept. 12, junior forward Cheyenne Skidmore earned the award after leading the Tigers to wins over UMBC and Mount St. Mary’s … Senior midfielder Courtney McKee received the honor after the Tigers’ wins over Hofstra and Northeastern on Oct. 10 ... In addition, the Tigers had a player named as the CAA Rookie of the Week when Sofia Read earned the award after leading the Tigers to a 2-0 win over Loyola on Aug. 20.

3 – Junior forward Cheyenne Skidmore recorded three assists in back-to-back games against Hofstra and Northeastern … She is the first Towson player to post three assists in a game since Shannon Jackson had three assists against Old Dominion in 2004.

4 – The Tigers posted four CAA wins during the 2011 season, which are the most by a Towson team since joining the league in 2002.

5 – Sophomore forward Emily Banes became the first player in school history to score a goal in five consecutive games when she tallied six goals in a five-game span from Sept. 2 to Sept. 16 ... She scored both goals in the Tigers' 2-0 win over Campbell and helped the Tigers to a 5-0 win over Mount St. Mary's on Sept. 11, which marked the Tigers' highest single-game output since 2007 against Longwood.

6 – The Tigers had a perfect 6-0 record this year when they outshot their opponents.

7 – After leading the Tigers with 25 points this year, junior forward Cheyenne Skidmore moved into seventh place on the Tigers’ career points list … She will enter her senior season with 45 points, including 13 goals with 19 assists.

8 – Junior forward Cheyenne Skidmore and sophomore forward Emily Banes each scored eight goals to lead the Tiger offense this season … Skidmore also contributed a team-high nine assists while Banes had five assists.

9 – The Tigers had nine victories this year, marking their highest win total since 2007 when they posted a 9-8-1 record.

10 – When the Tigers edged UNC Wilmington by a 1-0 margin on Oct. 16, it marked the 10th career shutout for senior goalkeeper Jocelyn Papciak … Papciak became the third goalkeeper in school history to record at least 10 career shutouts.
