PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Towson ran in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Saturday afternoon at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, placing 14th in a field of 29 teams with a score of 422.

Villanova, Georgetown, West Virginia and Penn State finished first through fourth, all recording less than 90 points in the meet. All four schools are nationally ranked this season.

The Tigers were led by a pair of upperclassmen, senior Kaylin Gilmartin-Donohue and graduate student Katie Ogden.

For the second consecutive meet, Gilmartin-Donohue was the top finisher for the Tigers in the 6K race, finishing in 53rd place with a time of 23:20.

Ogden was not far behind, finishing in 72nd place with a time of 23:54.

Freshman Elizabeth Tauber was the third Tiger to finish in the top 100 runners, as her 24:09 positioned her in 85th out of the 199 competing runners.

The Tigers will complete their season Nov. 19 when they will travel to the ECAC Championships in the team’s last meet of the season.
