TOWSON, Md. – The Tigers will compete in their final meet of the season Saturday, when they head to Van Cortlandt Park for the ECAC Championship 5K. The meet will begin at 12:30 p.m.
The meet marks the final race in the careers of the Towson seniors, including Kaylin Gilmartin-Donohue, Erika Griffith, Katlyn Dillow, Liya Kasimova and graduate student Katie Ogden.
“The most exciting part of the meet is that’s it’s for the seniors,” Head Coach Roger Erricker said. “For me, I get a little sentimental about it. It’s a lot of fun. We want to put our stamp on this season so that it’s one of the best we’ve ever had.”
The Tigers finished third in the 2010 ECACs, led by Ogden and her eighth place performance, recording a time of 18:30.60.
Towson is coming off a pair of 6K meets in the NCAA Mid Atlantic Regional and the Colonial Athletic Association Championship. The team finished in fourth place at the CAAs Oct. 29 and a 14th place finish in the Regional Nov. 12.
