FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Senior Kacy Catanzaro of Towson University has been named as the NCAA Southeast Regional Gymnast of the Year, it was announced at the regional championship meet at the University of Arkansas on Saturday evening.

Honored as ECAC Gymnast of the Year two weeks ago, Catanzaro became the second Tiger gymnast to win the regional award. Kristen Presutti, ’03 won the award in 2003.

“This is a tremendous honor for Kacy,” says Tigers’ Coach Vicki Chliszczyk. “We are very happy for her. She had an incredible year.

"The award winners were announced at the end of the meet," she added. "When Kacy heard her name called, she didn't know what was going on. It took a minute or two for her to realize what she won."
