Bradshaw Joins Athletics Media Relations Staff

TOWSON, Md. – The former Assistant Director of Athletics Communications at Boston University, Megan Bradshaw has been named as the Assistant Director of Athletics Media Relations at Towson University, it has been announced by Dan O’Connell, the Tigers’ Director of Athletics Media Relations.

“We are very fortunate to have someone as talented and experienced as Megan Bradshaw join our staff,” said O’Connell. “Her passion for this profession and her commitment to college athletics make her a perfect addition to our staff. She is a native of the Baltimore area and she already has a strong connection to our program since she worked in our office as a graduate intern seven years ago. Her presence on our staff will make us an even better operation."

A 2004 graduate of Boston University, Megan was a magna cum laude graduate who earned her degree in Mass Communication with a concentration in Irish Studies. During her undergraduate years at Boston University, she worked in the sports information office for long-time SID Ed Carpenter.

A native of Carroll County in Maryland, she returned to her home state after graduation and worked in Towson’s Athletics Media Relations Office as a graduate intern. During her year at Towson, she was the contact for the Tigers’ volleyball, women’s basketball and women’s lacrosse teams.

After a year at Towson, she was hired as an Athletics Media Relations Specialist at Villanova where she was the contact for six sports and worked with the Wildcats’ nationally-ranked men’s basketball program.

In September, 2006, she returned to Boston University in the role of the Assistant Director of Athletics Communications. During her two years at Boston University, she was the men’s basketball contact and maintained the web site for athletics.

After two years at Boston University, she accepted position as the Marketing Communications Coordinator for Arbour Health System in Boston. During her years with Arbour Health System, she helped upgrade the Health System’s web site while producing news stories, features and press releases for the site. She also wrote and designed three newsletters and more than 50 service brochures.

Most recently, Megan worked as a marketing assistant at Daly Computers in Clarksburg, Md.

In her role at Towson, she will serve as the managing editor of www.TowsonTigers.com, the official web site for Tigers athletics. She will also be the primary contact for the Tiger men’s lacrosse and women’s soccer teams.

She starts at Towson on July 18.
