TOWSON, Md. – Head Coach Vicki Chliszczyk and Assistant Coach Becky Schaller of Towson University gymnastics will conduct three Tumbling Tigers sessions for boys and girls aged three to six years old this year.
The class will meet every Wednesday evening from 5:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the newly-improved gymnastics room in the Towson Center.
The fall session will be held from Sept. 19 to Nov. 14 and the cost is $96. The winter session will run from Jan. 9, 2013 to Jan. 30, 2013 and costs $48.00. The spring session starts on March 27, 2013 and runs until May 1, 2013. The cost for the spring session is $72.00.
Students can enroll in all three sessions for the discounted price of $195.00
“Towson Gymnastics is excited to be offering its Tumbling Tigers Program again for the 2012-2013 school year,” says Coach Schaller. “This class is for ages 3-6 and emphasizes learning through movement. The coaches and current team members will work on basic gymnastics shapes and positions and use all of the Olympic apparatus. We have a new feature this year. Students can be enrolled for all three sessions and receive a discount.
“The students will learn beginner gymnastics shapes and skills while developing social awareness skills such as: sharing, taking turns, and following simple directions from a respected teacher,” Schaller added. “We will create a positive, fun, and energetic learning environment through songs, games, obstacle courses, and manipulatives.”
