TOWSON, Md. - Coach Vicki Chliszczyk and the Tiger gymnastics team will hold their first-ever Holiday Clinic on Saturday, December 18 in the Gymnastics Training Room in the Towson Center from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The clinic is open to all levels of gymnasts from beginner to elite. Gymnasts aged between 7 and 18 years old are invited to attend.
The clinic will start at 9:30 when check-in is held. From 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, there will be the warm-up and Session I. After a one-hour lunch break, warm-up will start at 1:00 p.m. and Session II will follow until 3:00 p.m. From 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. there will be an Open Gym Session.
The one-day camp, priced at $65, is designed to teach campers the fundmentals of gymnastics and the clinic's goal is to meet the needs of each individual gymnast. Rotations of vault, bars, beam, floor, trampoline, strength, dance and flexibility will be included.
The Tiger gymnastics coaching staff and members of the Tiger gymnastics team will provide instruction.
All levels of campers will work with all of the coaches.
"We are excited to host our first Winter Clinic at Towson," says Coach Chliszczyk, the Tigers' first-year coach. "This clinic will provide participants the opportunity to perform their competitive skills and routines in a safe and comfortable environment. Campers will have the opportunity to work with the Towson staff and current members of the gymnastics team to help prepare them for their upcoming winter season."
