TOWSON, Md. – The Tiger softball team resumes Colonial Athletic Association play with a three game series on Apr. 6 and 7. The Tigers and Dragons will play a doubleheader in Philadelphia on Friday at 1 p.m. and wrap up the series with a single game on Saturday at 12 p.m.
The Tigers (15-19, 2-4 CAA) enter this weekend’s series looking to snap a five-game losing streak. Senior centerfielder Erika Stasch leads the team as she is hitting .333 with 25 RBI’s, 20 runs scored and seven home runs. Freshman shortstop Hailey Balk is batting .319 with 13 runs scored while senior rightfielder Brianna Jones is hitting .306. Junior Katie Lingmai is 9-7 with a 2.23 ERA in the circle and 125 strikeouts.
The Dragons (13-15, 1-4 CAA) will play Lafayette on Thursday before hosting the Tigers over the weekend. Drexel has lost two straight entering Thursday’s contest. Jenn Reading leads the Dragons as she is hitting .338 and has 17 runs scored and seven home runs. Comfort Ahonkhai is batting .333 with 12 runs scored. Hillary Allen leads Drexel in the circle with a 7-7 record and a .396 ERA.
Following this weekend’s action, the Tigers are back on the field when they host Howard in a doubleheader on Apr. 11 at 3 p.m.
