HEMPSTEAD, N.Y.  - The "View From the Cheap Seats" Blog is back for one final edition as the Tigers split on Thursday at the CAA Softball Championship and were eliminated from contention. "The Kingdom", better known as the Tigers' pitching staff and catchers are here to fill you in on Thursday's action for the team.

Hey Tiger Fans, 

We started off day two of the CAA Championship tournament with lots of food. We ate breakfast at 9 and lunch at 11. That's softball players for ya. GET BIG!  We got over to the field and watched Hofstra beat Georgia State. We begged Lady Laura (aka, Assistant Coach Laura Streets) to feed us starburst during warm-up. She obliged.  Lord Lingmai, along with her fellow Tiger-peers, beat the blue off of the Hens of Delaware.  Dancing was the obvious activity between game one and two.  Each starter performed their specialized dance move as their name was announced prior to the second game. We played a close game against the Panthers of Georgia State, and sadly our season came to an end. We finished the day with some more eating, including appetizers AND dessert, a reward for the shutout of game one.
