TOWSON, Md. – Senior diver Caroline Baker has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Women’s Diver of the Week, it has been announced by CAA officials.
Baker helped the Tigers finish second in the Terp Cup Nov. 17-19 and finished second in the one-meter dive with a score of 291.95. Her score of 276.55 earned her a third place finish in the three-meter event.
“She dove very well and was very consistent,” Diving Coach Maureen Mead said. “We don’t just practice diving, we practice competing like it’s in a competition. We lay it on the line. I challenge them every day. Our divers feel the same in practice as they do in the meet and that is important for success.”
It was the second time Baker has earned the award from the conference this season. She received the same the honor for the first time this season Nov. 8.
The Tigers will next compete in a dual meet Jan. 7 when they host Maryland at Burdick Pool beginning at 1:00 p.m.
