TOWSON, Md. – Towson senior Cari Czarnecki was named Co-Colonial Athletic Association Women’s Swimmer of the Week Tuesday, it has been announced by CAA officials. She shares the weekly award with Delaware's Hannah Facchine.

Czarnecki won three individual events while also helping Towson to a relay victory against George Washington Nov. 12. Czarnecki won the 100 and 200-yard butterfly as well as the 200-yard individual medley. Her 200-yard butterfly time of 2:02.33 was over six seconds faster than the next closest finisher.

“Cari had a really solid meet,” Towson Coach Pat Mead said. “The events that she swam were tough events and to swim them as fast as she did was very impressive for this time of the year. This is a sign of good things to come.”

Czarnecki becomes the second straight Tiger to win the award after sophomore Kaitlin Burke took the honors Nov. 8.

The Tigers will next compete in the Terp Cup at the University of Maryland beginning Nov. 17.
