TOWSON, Md. – Deposits are now being accepted for 2012-13 Towson Women’s Basketball season tickets.

Tiger fans are encouraged to act early and support the Women’s Basketball team by placing their deposit for next year’s season tickets.  Deposits are $15 and can be made today by clicking here or over the phone at 1-855-TU-TIGER.

The Tigers finished last season with an 16-14 record, as the team recorded at least 15 wins for the fifth time in the last six years. Head coach Joe Mathews returns for his 12th season, he will have the luxury of returning starters Nyree Williams and Tanisha McTiller to lead the squad.

The 2011-12 season was one of thrilling comebacks as seven times the Tigers scored the game-winning or game-tying basket in the final minute of play.  Six of those seven games were decided in the final 10 seconds or overtime, including McTiller’s game winner against Mt. St. Mary’s early in the year. Williams made an impact for the Tigers as well in her first season as she finished 11th in the CAA in rebounding (7.0 per game) and blocked 44 shots, which ranks ninth in single-season history at Towson. McTiller and Williams lead a group of nine letter winners that will return for the 2012-13 season, including six players who gained valuable experience as freshmen.
