PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - Sophomore Kaylin Gilmartin-Donohue led the Tigers to a 15th place finish in the 27-team field at the NCAA Division I Mid-Atlantic Region Championships held Saturday on Maryland's soggy Eastern Shore.

Gilmartin-Donohue placed 50th overall, running the 6K rain soaked course in 22:59. Junior Lindsay Warfield was the next Tiger to cross the finish line in 71st place, clocking a 23:36. Senior captain Megan DiGregorio was 96th in 23:59.

Sophomore Liya Kasimova was 99th in 24:01 followed by sophomore Katie Ogden (116th in 24:21), sophomore Erika Griffith (124th in 24:26) and Brandi Gervais (150th in 25:17).

The top six finishers for each team scored.

Villanova won the team title with a near sweep. Princeton was a distant second. Villanova's Sheila Reid was the individual champion, running a 20:23.

"The times were slow because the course was very wet and muddy," said Tiger coach Roger Erricker. "In some places the mud was ankle deep."

The Tigers conclude their season next week at the ECAC Meet to be held in Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y.
