TOWSON, Md. - Starting his 25th season as the Tigers' baseball coach, Mike Gottlieb will lead the Tigers against a challenging 56-game schedule this season.

The Tigers, who are scheduled to play 24 home games a t John B. Schuerholz Park (below), will be playing a 30-game Colonial Athletic Association schedule. The CAA schedule, which includes ten three-game weekends, includes home dates against George Mason, Old Dominion, Georgia State, Hofstra and defending champion James Madison.

The CAA Tournament will return to its format as a six-team, double elimination championship. It will be hosted by James Madison University on May 23-26, marking the first time since the 2003 season that the tournament will not be held at Brooks Field on the campus of UNC Wilmington.

The CAA Tournament has included only the top four teams the last two seasons.

The Tigers, who posted a 26-28 record last year, open their season on the weekend of February 17 with four games at The Citadel Tournament. Towson plays The Citadel, Liberty and Richmond in the tournament. On the weekend of February 24, the Tigers travel to Louisiana-Lafayette for a three-game series.

On Friday, March 2, the Tigers open their home schedule against Central Connecticut at 2:30 p.m.
