PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Redshirt sophomore attacker Ashleigh Rohrback scored with 29 seconds remaining to lift the Towson University women's lacrosse team to an 11-10 win at Drexel on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers (11-3, 5-0 CAA) overcame a four-goal second half deficit to win their fifth straight contest.

"I'm proud of our girls and that they continued to battle against a tough Drexel team today," said Coach Sonia LaMonica. "I thought moving Katie Leech to taking the draw controls in the second half helped since she was able to get the ball to the offensive side of the field for us."

After the Tigers scored the first goal of the game, Drexel (9-5, 2-3 CAA) scored three straight goals to take a 3-1 lead with 20:27 to play in the half. A goal from junior midfielder Ashley Waldron briefly halted the Dragons run at 20:16. However, Drexel scored four of the final five goals in the half to take a 7-3 lead at the break.

Drexel outshot the Tigers, 10-9 in the first half while the visitors controlled six of the 11 draw controls.

Waldron and Rohrback scored the first two goals of the second half to pull the Tigers to within two, 7-5 with 25:02 to play. Drexel's Amanda Norcini responded as she scored on two straight free position shots to give the home team a 9-5 lead with 19:51 remaining. The four-goal advantage was tied for Drexel's largest lead of the game and was its largest advantage of the second half.

The Tigers started their comeback at 18:27 as junior midfielder Kelly Custer scored on a free-position attempt. Custer's goal was the start of a 4-0 run by the Tigers which tied the game at 9-9 with 15:48 to play. Custer scored twice during that run by Towson while sophomore attacker Andi Raymond had a pair of assists.

Kristin Kopenhaver gave Drexel the lead back, 10-9 with a goal at 14:35. Raymond tied the game at 10-10 with 5:21 remaining in the contest. Raymond then assisted on Rohrback's game-winner with 29 seconds left to play.

Towson outshot the Dragons 12-9 in the second half and finished the game with a 21-19 shot advantage. Drexel won seven draw controls in the second half and finished the game winning 12 of 23 for the game.

Senior goalkeeper Mary Teeters made four saves to earn her 11th win of the season in net. Freshman Kelsea Donnelly played 14:35 of action and made a pair of saves. Amanda Santandrea made five saves in the loss for the Dragons.

Rohrback, who recorded her fourth game-winning goal of the season, had her first career "hat trick" in the game. She added two assists in addition to the three goals. Raymond continued her scoring tear with two goals and four assists while Custer also had a "hat trick."

The Tigers return home to close out the regular season next weekend. Towson will host George Mason on Friday, Apr. 20 at 7 p.m.
