TOWSON, Md. - Senior
Elisabeth Tauber of the Towson University women's cross country team was named Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week on Tuesday, league officials announced.
Tauber won the award after finishing in first-place at the Baltimore Metro meet with a time of 18:26 last Friday. The first-place finish allowed Tauber to successfully defend her individual meet title at Oregon Ridge Park. Tauber's time was 21 seconds faster than the second-place finisher and 49.49 seconds better than her winning time in 2013.
The Tigers captured their second straight team title as they finished in first-place overall at the meet among six teams.
This is the fourth time in Tauber's career she has been honored with a CAA weekly award.
The Tigers continue their season at Saturday, September 13 at the Delaware Invitational beginning at 11:15 a.m.
