TOWSON, Md. – Jermon Bushrod '07 received the Tiger Athletic Fund (TAF) Donor of the Game award presented by
Spirit Cruises during Saturday's Men's Basketball game versus Delaware at SECU Arena.
Bushrod, a 2007 graduate of Towson University, was a 2006 All-Atlantic 10 selection at left tackle and helped lead the Tigers to a 7-4 record. He finished his career with 38 consecutive starts.
After being drafted in 2007 by the New Orleans Saints, Bushrod played a pivotal role in leading the Saints to a Super Bowl XLIV victory in 2008, as the starting left tackle. Bushrod is a two time pro-bowl selection and is now the starting left tackle for the Chicago Bears.
"I had a great experience as a Tiger both athletically and academically," said Bushrod. "The football program invested a scholarship in me, and now it is my turn to continue to invest in our athletes here at Towson so that we continue to build excellence.
"The Tiger Athletic Fund, and the entire university, has done a great job to continue to invest in our athletes and progress this university forward. I am so fortunate to be a part of such a special community."
The Tiger Athletic Fund thanks Jermon for his support of student-athletes at Towson. To join in supporting student-athlete scholarships
