BALTIMORE – In a continued effort to support those who served our country, the Towson University men's lacrosse team took a quick trip downtown to spend an evening at The Baltimore Station.
On Wednesday night, the No. 16 Tigers went to The Baltimore's Station's South Baltimore location, down the road from M&T Bank Stadium, and served dinner to the residents at the Station. The team spent nearly two hours chatting with residents, most of whom are veterans from various eras.
It was one of the most-served dinners at The Baltimore Station, which included pasta and meatballs, chicken alfredo, garlic bread, and salads with dressing.
Before, during and after the meal, the 50 members of the program and coaching staff chatted with the residents at The Baltimore Station and exchanged stories from their lives, including lacrosse moments.
Towson University's athletic department and The Baltimore Station continue their community partner relationship. Beginning at 12:01 p.m. on Friday, TowsonTigers.com will begin a sale of special one-off Cascade R helmets with Zima Gear decals. The helmets will benefit local military support organizations, The Baltimore Station and USO of Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore (USO-Metro).
