TOWSON, Md. – Towson University women's basketball coach
Niki Reid Geckeler has resigned her position as the head women's basketball coach to pursue other coaching opportunities.
"I want to thank Niki for her four years of service to the women's basketball program and Towson University," said
Tim Leonard, Director of Athletics. "I believe our program is in a better place than when she arrived and she played a key role in building the foundation for a solid future."
Reid Geckeler concludes her four-year tenure at Towson with an overall record of 43-80. During that time, she coached a pair of First Team All-Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) selections and a pair of CAA All-Defensive honorees. Under Reid Geckeler's watch, guard
Dominique Johnson became the 16
th member of the 1,000 point club in Towson history. Just this past season, the Tigers swept James Madison for the first time in program history.
A search for her replacement is underway.
