How It Happened:
  • In the bottom of the first, Towson loaded the bases up via a Nolan Young single and a pair of walks.  With two out and a full count, Burke Camper launched a ball to deep left for a grand slam, putting Towson up 4-0.
  • As Brett Seils held down the Richmond bats, with two outs and no one on in the bottom of the third, Chandler Castleberry sent a ball over the left field fence for a solo home run and 5-0 Towson lead.
  • In the fourth, Beau Blowers drew a walk and took second on a sacrifice bunt.  Nolan Young lined a single to shallow left, bringing in Blowers and making it 6-0 Towson.
  • Towson kept up the power in the bottom of the fifth.  After Jack McLaughlin singled, Castleberry hit a rocket to center field for a two-run homer, pushing Towson up 8-0.
  • Max Simpson pitched perfect fourth, fifth and sixth innings.  In the seventh, Richmond got on the board via a pair of two-out walks and a Christian Beal RBI single to left.
