TOWSON, Md. – Towson softball picked up a pair of wins to complete a three-game sweep of Drexel on Sunday afternoon. The sweep is the second consecutive home weekend sweep for the Tigers, who are now 12-5 at Tiger Softball Stadium this season.
Towson (17-15, 7-5 CAA) put up four runs in the fourth inning when game two restarted to knock off the Dragons 8-4 and got a big three-run fifth inning in the series finale to defeat Drexel 6-4.

How It Happened – Game Two:
	- Towson wasted little time getting out ahead of the Dragons with two runs in the first inning. Lake drove in Ramirez with a double and Bohner plated Lake to give Towson an early 2-0 lead.
 
	- The Tigers would strike again in the third with a two-RBI double from Madyson Peters that scored Lake and Cori Jones to give Towson a 4-0 lead.
 
	- However, the Dragons would get a pair of runs in the top of the fourth before play was halted due to lightning.
 
	- After the restart, Towson ripped off a four-run fourth with RBIs from Lake, Peters and Bohner to push Towson in front 8-2.
 
	- Drexel would get a run in the fifth and sixth, but Towson held on for an 8-4 win.
 
Key Stats – Game Three:
	- Kristin Toland drove in a team-best three runs on one hit.
 
	- Madyson Peters was the lone Tiger to have a multi-hit game going 2-2 from the plate with a run scored.
 
	- Cara Bohner drove in a pair of runs to help the Tiger offense.
 
	- Morgan Wagner picked up her first collegiate win, going five innings with two strikeouts.
 
	- Maddie Gardner earned the save in two innings of relief with three strikeouts.
 
How It Happened – Game Three:
	- Towson once again wasted no time scoring, this time putting up three runs in the first.
 
	- Cara Bohner hit a sacrifice fly to score Briana Ramirez who led off reaching on a fielding error.
 
	- Toland got two of her three RBIs with a two-out single to score Madyson Peters and Cori Jones.
 
	- Drexel would respond in their half of the second with a pair of runs to cut the Tiger lead to 3-2 and tie it in the fifth.
 
	- The Tigers would once again have a big inning with three runs in the fifth. Bohner singled home Mackenzie Lake with Toland and Alyssa Myint driving in runs on a sacrifice fly and RBI triple respectively to make it 6-3.
 
	- That would be all the Tigers would need as Maddie Gardner came in a shut the door on the Dragons in a 6-4 win.
 
Next Game:
Towson will now hit the road for the next six games, starting with a double header at George Mason on Wednesday, April 5. First pitch with the Patriots is slated for 3 p.m. on ESPN+.
