NEWARK, Del. - The opening game of the Tigers' scheduled three-game Colonial Athletic Association at the University of Delaware, scheduled for Friday, May 9, has been rained out. The Tigers and the Blue Hens will now play a doubleheader on Saturday, May 10 starting at 1:00 p.m. The first game will be a nine-inning contest and the nightcap will be seven innings long. The series concludes on Sunday with a single game at 1:00 p.m.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Sophomore leftfielder Kevin Collins had three hits to extend his hitting streak to 15 games while his older brother, junior designated hitter Matt Collins went two-for-four to extend his hitting streak to 14 games but it wasn't enough as the Tigers (24-24) dropped a 7-4 non-conference contest to the University of Maryland at Shipley Field on Wednesday night.

RICHMOND, Va. - Despite outhitting Virginia Commonwealth (13-27, 6-14) in their Colonial Athletic Association series finale, the Tigers (24-23, 10-14) lost the series finale to the Rams by an 11-5 margin at The Diamond on Sunday evening. With the win, VCU won the CAA series, two games to one.

RICHMOND, Va. - Shortstop Joe Van Meter singled home the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning as Virginia Commonwealth (12-27, 5-15) edged the Tigers (24-22, 10-13) by 9-8 in the second game of their three-game Colonial Athletic Association series at The Diamond on Saturday morning.

RICHMOND, Va. - For most of the season, the Tigers (24-21, 10-12) have relied on "big innings" as a way to win. Trailing by 6-2 to Virginia Commonwealth (11-27, 4-15) in the eighth inning on Friday, the Tigers staged one of their biggest innings of the season as they rallied for seven runs to pull out a 10-7 victory over the Rams in the opening game of their three-game Colonial Athletic Association series at the Diamond.
