June 1, 2007: The day of our first game we did alot of team building activities. We went to a park to complete these activities. Our team split up into three groups which we called teams. In these teams we completed different challenges.
We had to make it through a maze that was made up of trees. This maze was really hard to figure out. The tour guide said that if your team made every wrong turn that it would equal a three mile walk. This maze proved really hard to complete. We worked together with the first team to finish to find our way out. Then we worked in our groups to find different sites on the map and find the letters that were on the polls at the assigned site. This was challenging but it was fun and each team worked together. After this we had lunch in a really pretty garden, which had trees from all over the world that were collected by the old owners of the castle in the park. There were hundreds of trees. After we ate lunch we went canoeing on the lake. Some members of our team decided they were going to jump into the lake so they put on wet suits because it was cold. While canoeing, we stopped on a small island where we play hide and seek. Then we rowed back.
After finishing up at the park we drove to the field for our first game. It was a good learning experience. And we had fun as a team while learning about some of Ireland's history.
