RICHMOND, Va. - The ninth-seeded Tigers grabbed the advantage and momentum with a first half blitz and then survived a relentless Hofstra rally to win going away as the Tigers beat the eighth-seeded Pride 81-66 on Friday afternoon in a Colonial Athletic Association Championship Basketball Tournament opening round game in the Richmond Coliseum.
