HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - Hoping to advance to the Colonial Athletic Association championship round, the Tigers (37-26) faced their nemesis, junior righthander Kayleigh Lotti of Hofstra. Lotti, the CAA Pitcher of the Year, pitched a four-hitter she led the Pride (41-11) to a 4-2 victory over Towson in an elimination game at Hofstra Field. Lotti, who beat the Tigers on a three-hitter on Thursday, did not walk a batter and had seven strikeouts as she beat Towson for the fourth time this season.

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - Junior leftfielder Emily Gould singled home the game-winning run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning as the fourth-seeded Tigers (37-25) eliminated second-seeded Georgia State (37-18) by 5-4 in an elimination game at the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament at Hofstra University Stadium on Saturday afternoon. By edging the Panthers, the Tigers advanced to an elimination game at 3:45 p.m. against top-seeded Hofstra (40-11), a 5-4 loser to James Madison earlier in the day.

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - Although junior leftfielder Emily Gould gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead in the second inning of their Colonial Athletic Association Tournament game against top-seeded Hofstra, that was all the offense they could manage against ace pitcher Kayleigh Lotti as Hofstra (40-10) earned its 15th win in a row, a 3-1 victory over Towson (36-25) at Hofstra Softball Stadium on Thursday afternoon.

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - Making their fifth appearance in the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament, the fourth-seeded Tigers (36-24) will open their quest for their first-ever CAA championship on Thursday afternoon when they face top-seeded Hofstra (39-10), the seven-time defending CAA champion, in the first round of the double-elimination tournament at Hofstra Softball Stadium at 12:00 noon.
