In the latest installment of "In The Crease," junior goalkeeper Mandy Corry talks about what it is like to be one of the Tigers' four captains.
Being a team captain is always an honor no matter what sport you play. When I was told that my team had voted me for captain, I was especially honored due to the fact that I have so much respect for each individual on this team. Our team is full of hard working champions who all have undeniable drive to succeed on the field. They make it easy on us as captains, because within all 27 of us there is a leader. We are not led by four captains, but by 27 teammates. I have never been on a team that has more will and determination, that is not something that can be taught or practiced. We are born with it and it helps us to shine everyday we get out on the field.
I have faith in all of my teammates and I know that we are going to go far this year and show the rest of the world what it is like to feel the wrath of the Tiger.
"As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
27 STRONG!
