NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Championships

Media Information

 

Credentials: Credential requests for the 2008 NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Championships can be made by filling out the official credential application, which is available by clicking here. Applications must be submitted to Jennifer Gunnels at the NCAA Office no later than May 12, 2008.

 

You will receive notification via e-mail as to the status of your application. Media members can contact Jennifer Gunnels at jgunnels@ncaa.org.

 

Credential Pick-Up: Credentials will be available for pick-up in the press box lobby of Johnny Unitas® Stadium beginning on Thursday, May 22. Media members who have been approved for credentials will need to present a government-issued photo ID in order to receive their credentials.

 

Credential pick-up will be at the following times:

                Thursday, May 22 – 9:40 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

                Friday, May 23 – 4 p.m. to half-time of the 2nd semi-final

                Saturday, May 24 – 11 a.m. to 2:10 p.m.

                Sunday, May 25 – 5 p.m. to half-time

 

Media Parking: Media parking for the semi-finals and finals will be in Lot 20 at Unitas Stadium, which is directly across from the south side (press box) of the stadium. Parking is extremely limited, so requests for parking should be made at the same time as credential requests. There is no guarantee that all requests for media parking will be granted.

 

Press Conferences: A press conference for each of the four semi-final teams will be held on Thursday, May 22 in the Minnegan Room, which is located in the field house adjacent to Unitas Stadium.

 

Press conferences will be held at the following times:

                10:40 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. – Team TBD

                11:10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – Team TBD

                2:10 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. – Team TBD

                2:40 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. – Team TBD

 

In addition, a press conference will be held following each game during the weekend. Following a 10-minute cooling-off period, the non-advancing coach and a maximum of three (3) student-athletes will be interviewed first. The advancing coach and a maximum of three (3) student-athletes will be interviewed next.

 

Radio: Two (2) radio booths are available for broadcasts during the semi-finals and finals. Each is equipped with POTS and ISDN lines. For information regarding use of the booths, radio outlets can contact Tom Judd of Towson University at 410-704-6270 or via e-mail at tjudd@towson.edu.
