ABERDEEN, Md. - Former Tiger basketball standout and current NBA star Gary Neal will be holding the first Gary Neal Basketball Camp at Aberdeen High School from August 1-4.
The camp is open to youngsters aged 8 to 14 years old.
The camp's mission is developing fundamental basketball skills. Campers learn ball handling, triple threat, post moves, rebounding, court spacing, defensive keys, team offense and defense.
Gary Neal, former Aberdeen High standout, led Aberdeen High School to a 21-4 record 
and a Maryland State Class A championship his junior year scoring the
game winning basket.
An All-Colonial Athletic Association selection at Towson University, he was one of the leading scorers in NCAA Division I as a senior. The leading scorer in the Italian League in 2009-2010, he just completed an outstanding rookie season with the San Antonio Spurs. He was named to the NBA's All-Rookie first team.
