Twenty Towson Basketball Games to be Televised on Monumental Sports Network during 2026-27 Season

TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University athletics department today announced that 20 Towson University men's and women's basketball games during the 2026-27 season will be televised on local media platform Monumental Sports Network (MNMT). As a member of the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA), all regular season games Towson produces will air exclusively on FloSports digital, with member institutions retaining rights to local linear television distribution.

In addition, the package also includes the two games played at SECU Arena not involving the Towson basketball games at the inaugural 410 Invitational, powered by Under Armour, a new college basketball tournament featuring four Baltimore programs: Loyola, Morgan State, UMBC and Towson. The consolation and championship games will be held on November 14 (men) and November 15 (women). Saturday's games will be contested at 5 and 7:30 p.m., with Sunday's games at 1 and 3:30 p.m.  All four games will be televised live on Monumental Sports Network.

Ten of the 15 men's home games will be on the network, including the home opener versus LIU on November 9 and a non-conference matchup against James Madison on November 18. The schedule includes three non-conference games and seven conference matchups. The other two home games in CAA play are part of the league's partnership with CBS Sports Network.

Towson men's basketball, who is a combined 107-61 the last five seasons, was picked to finish fourth by the coaches in the CAA preseason poll. Pat Skerry's new look squad includes three rotation players from last year's roster as well as five transfers – headlined by Zion Stanford, who was named Preseason All-CAA Second Team. He averaged 13.1 points and 4.5 rebounds per game as a sophomore at Temple in 2024-25.

"We are thrilled to continue the partnership with Monumental Sports Network," Skerry said. "The visibility it creates for our university, our athletics department and our men's basketball program is second to none. With Monumental being the premier brand in this area, it is huge for us. So many high school coaches, AAU coaches and former players tell me how excited they are to have the ability to watch the games. It establishes us. When you want to be a highly competitive Division I men's basketball program, you want to be on local television and to have this for the last handful of years is something we sell to kids during recruiting."

Ten women's basketball games will be televised, including seven conference games and headlined with a game versus Maryland on November 28. The Terps have not visited Towson since November 23, 2013, the first year of SECU Arena.

Laura Harper's team returns four of the top six scorers from last season and added guard Ava Renninger, who earned First Team All-Northeast (NEC) honors at Fairleigh Dickinson last season – averaging 12.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game. She then was named NEC tournament MVP – leading the Knights to the NCAA tournament. In the CAA preseason poll, the Tigers were picked to finish fifth by the league's coaches.

"We are grateful to Monumental Sports Network for their commitment to showcasing Towson women's basketball, especially the opportunity to highlight us when my alma mater, the University of Maryland, visits SECU Arena," said Harper said. "This partnership is truly unmatched, and we feel incredibly supported, valued and represented."

Towson basketball games on MNMT will be available to fans via their pay TV provider within the network's footprint, stretching from Richmond to Delaware. Fans can watch the games on MNMT through their TV provider, on monumentalplus.com or by downloading the Monumental+ app on iOS, Android, Apple TV, Chromecast, DAZN, DIRECTV, Fire TV, Prime Video, Roku, Samsung, X1, Xfinity Xumo and using an eligible TV Everywhere log in.

Monumental Sports Network is wholly owned and operated by Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE). The network holds exclusive local television media rights for the NHL's Washington Capitals, NBA's Washington Wizards, WNBA's Washington Mystics and NBA G League's Capital City Go-Go games. Through partnerships like MNMT and Towson's, MNMT boasts the most comprehensive regional high school and collegiate sports programming in the greater Washington, D.C. metro area.

The relationship between Towson and MNMT began during the 2022-23 season when six men's basketball games were broadcast and has now grown to include women's basketball, football, volleyball and men's lacrosse.
